One case where this may be supported (for example, by the CommandServiceJdo implementation) is to flush still-running {@link Command}s to the database on-demand.
Invokers eventually have to call {@link #endTransaction()}. @throws EvolizerRuntimeException if session is not open or transaction already active.
If this method succeeds, {@link #isTransactionActive()} will return true afterwards
